ERCP –Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography is a therapeutic procedure of the pancreaticobiliary system which is used for

• Clearance of bile duct stones
• Stent placement in bile duct obstruction to relieve obstructive jaundice in pancreaticobiliary malignancy patients
• Pancreatic duct stone removal in patients with chronic pancreatitis with pain abdomen
• Pancreatic duct stenting in patients with pancreatic duct disruption due to pancreatitis or trauma or to decrease the pancreatic duct pressure in patients with chronic pancreatitis to relieve the pain
